Former Tanjung Aru MP Dies of Covid-19

KOTA KINABALU: Former Tanjung Aru Member of Parliament Leonard Hsing died on Tuesday night after battling Covid-19 for a month.

He was 63.

Leonard leaves behind a wife and a daughter.

His death was confirmed by his younger brother Tony Hsing, who said Yin Shean died at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital 1.

“With a heavy heart and deepest regret, I wish to share that my brother Leonard Hsing has passed away peacefully on 01 June 2021 evening after battling Covid19 for about a month in ICU QEH1.

“While we will always miss his jolly fun loving presence but we are comforted that he is now at eased from all pain and suffering.

“We will always cherish our memories of him in our heart,” Tony said in his social media posting today.

Funeral arrangements, he said, are being made, adding that the details would be announced later.

Among those who extended their condolences over his death was former Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak.
