NABAWAN: Former PCS candidate for Nabawan in the 14th State general elections has joined the Perikatan Nasional (PN).
Ampalus Senaron is now a member of PN component party, Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku Rakyat Sabah (STAR).
Ampalus said he decided to join STAR because he had lost faith in PCS’ leadership, claiming that the party’s direction was too vague.
The announcement was made at a brief ceremony in Nabawan recently, attended by STAR Deputy President Datuk Ellron Alfred Angin.
Emulating Ampalus’ footsteps, Yangin Lumbis of Parti Bersatu Rakyat Sabah (PBRS) decided to make a similiar move by joining the STAR, citing the same reasons for leaving PBRS.
Later, both Ampalus and Yangin submitted their membership forms to Ellron, who is also State Youth and Sports Minister.
