KOTA KINABALU: The coalition of political parties in Barisan Nasional (BN) is a proven formula that has brought prosperity to Malaysians for a long time.
UMNO President, Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said that for a long time, BN whose members are UMNO, MCA, MIC and other parties, has represented the interests of all the multi-racial and multi-religious community.
“It would have been difficult for Malaysia to achieve prosperity as it has today if the country started with a formula that destroys and demolishes.
“Therefore, it is not an exaggeration when someone thinks that if there is a split in BN, it means division in the country because the people have always been united according to BN principles,” he said via a post on Facebook on Friday.
Ahmad Zahid said although non-BN has offered similar formula for the past 23 years, it is not the same.
“It is true that there is a similar formula that non-BN has been trying to offer for the past 23 years, but unfortunately it is not the same.
“Artificial formula, then the result is also artificial. Alternatives split, alliances scattered, hopes shattered. In the end, history proves that BN is still the best formula for the mold of the people’s unity, “he said.
He said: “BN is proven to remain strong despite the black history of attacks from within to destroy BN for the sake of those who are lost”.
Ahmad Zahid said no matter what happens, BN leaders, members and supporters will continue to strengthen BN.
“Strengthen cooperation with honest and sincere people to work together.
“BN illuminates the spirit of consensus for peace and unity. Driving the history of harmony based on the constitution and Rukun Negara,” he said.
