{"id":9985,"date":"2022-02-07T23:22:39","date_gmt":"2022-02-07T15:22:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jesseltontimes.com\/wpmarch2025\/?p=9985"},"modified":"2022-02-07T23:22:39","modified_gmt":"2022-02-07T15:22:39","slug":"number-of-flood-victims-rises-in-pitas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jesseltontimes.com\/wpmarch2025\/2022\/02\/07\/number-of-flood-victims-rises-in-pitas\/","title":{"rendered":"Number of flood victims rises in Pitas"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>KOTA KINABALU,:The number of flood victims in Pitas has gone up to 386 people from 117 families at\u00a08 pm today, compared to 313 people from 96 families this afternoon.<br \/>\nSabah Disaster Management Committee Secretariat, in a statement, said one more flood relief centre (PPS) was opened, bringing to four the number of PPS in Pitas.<br \/>\nThe latest PPS is\u00a0at Dewan Kampung Sinukab, housing\u00a073 victims from\u00a021 families, while the other three PPS are at\u00a0Dewan Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Pekan Pitas II with\u00a0108 victims from\u00a041 families; Dewan SK Rukom (132 victims from\u00a035 families); and\u00a0Dewan Kampung Kusilad (73 victims from 20 families).<br \/>\nAll the PPS were activated to house residents from eight villages in Pitas which were inundated following continuous heavy rain\u00a0since yesterday.<br \/>\nThe villages are\u00a0Kampung Tambilidon, Kampung Kalumpang, Kampung Taka, Kampung Saab Darat, Kampung Rukom Ulu, Kampung Kusilad, Kampung Desa Seberang and\u00a0Kampung Kanibongan.<\/p>\n<p>The weather is fine tonight statewide.<br \/>\n&#8212; BERNAMA<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KOTA KINABALU,:The number of flood victims in Pitas has gone up to 386 people from 117 families at\u00a08 pm today, compared to 313 people from 96 families this afternoon.
