\nEducation Sponsorship Programme (PESP) this year.
\nFive of them will pursue tertiary education at foreign universities while the remaining will be
\nplaced at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP). \u202d \u202cThey are among 301 PESP recipients
\nnationwide, selected from over 10,000 applicants this year.
\nHead of PETRONAS Sabah and Labuan Siti Ayu Abdul Wahab said\u202d \u202c despite the current
\nchallenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, PETRONAS remains committed in
\ninvesting in education and human capital development to ensure a sustainable pipeline of
\ncapable leaders and competent workforce.
\n\u201cIt is an effort that we have been driving for the past 46 years. We believe in the power and
\nvalue of education in uplifting lives and progressing the nation forward,\u201d Siti Ayu said.
\nPETRONAS will invest over RM120 million to fund the studies of the 301 recipients this year.
