{"id":6029,"date":"2021-08-15T18:43:23","date_gmt":"2021-08-15T10:43:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jesseltontimes.com\/wpmarch2025\/?p=6029"},"modified":"2021-08-15T18:44:56","modified_gmt":"2021-08-15T10:44:56","slug":"proposal-for-cross-party-cooperation-reflects-pn-government","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jesseltontimes.com\/wpmarch2025\/2021\/08\/15\/proposal-for-cross-party-cooperation-reflects-pn-government\/","title":{"rendered":"Proposal for cross-party cooperation reflects PN government"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>KUALA LUMPUR: The\u00a0seven proposals under a suggested framework of cross-party cooperation presented\u00a0by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin reflect the openness of the Perikatan Nasional (PN)\u00a0government on\u00a0the role\u00a0that the opposition can play in making the National Recovery Plan (PPN) a success.<br \/>\nIn this regard, Wanita PN in a statement\u00a0today, called on all political parties in the country to support all the proposals and implement a political ceasefire until the 15th General Election is declared.<br \/>\nAll of them are confident that the proposal will be supported by all quarters\u00a0who want political stability and\u00a0to bring the\u00a0country out of\u00a0the health and economic crisis.<br \/>\n&#8220;This proposal shows\u00a0the sincerity and\u00a0leadership of\u00a0Tan Sri Muhyiddin who clearly puts the interests of the people and the country above narrow partisan politics,&#8221; the statement read.<br \/>\nThe statement was jointly issued\u00a0by Wanita PN chief Datuk Seri Rina Mohd Harun who is also\u00a0Srikandi Bersatu chief,\u00a0Dewan Muslimat PAS chief Nuridah Mohd Salleh, Wiranita STAR exco chief Evelyn Gobile, Wanita SAPP chief Irene Chan Kam Lan and Wanita\u00a0Gerakan chief Janice Wong Oi Foon.<br \/>\nYesterday, Muhyiddin presented seven proposals on political reforms and combating COVID-19 that the PN\u00a0government will implement under a suggested framework of cross-party cooperation if the upcoming vote of confidence in the prime minister is carried in the Dewan Rakyat.<br \/>\nMeanwhile, the five women leaders said the elements in the proposal were not just limited to COVID-19-related health and economic management, but also covered political and constitutional reforms especially through a proposal to limit the tenure of the prime minister to two terms.<br \/>\n\u201cWe also appreciate the proposal to raise the COVID-19 fund ceiling by RM45 billion.
