KOTA KINABALU, August 4, 2021: Deputy Chief Minister, Datuk Dr Joachim Gunsalam, said it is important for the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) State Government to give its full attention to resolving the Covid-19 problem in the State, than wasting time and effort on the \u201ctukar kerajaan (changing government)\u201d politics.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is definitely not the time for changing a government. How can we be sure that the spread of Covid-19 will stop after we change the government? Or maybe it will get worse\u2026there is no certainty,” said Dr Joachim, who is also Minister of Industrial Development (MID).<\/p>\n
The Kundasang Assemblyman said the people of Sabah had given GRS the mandate in last year\u2019s State Election, so it is the duty of GRS leaders now to fulfil it.<\/p>\n
“Let us not continue with playing politics and give full focus on resolving the Covid-19 problem,\u201d said Dr Joachim, who is also Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) Vice President, in supporting the GRS State Government to continue the mandate given by the people.<\/p>\n
Dr Joachim said the GRS Government is also on track in attracting foreign and local investors to Sabah.<\/p>\n
Yesterday, Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Hajiji Haji Noor, who is also the GRS Chairman, said leaders of the GRS have reached a consensus to maintain cooperation in the State Government and uphold the mandate given by the people at the 16th State elections in September last year.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
