{"id":3210,"date":"2021-04-11T21:53:36","date_gmt":"2021-04-11T13:53:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jesseltontimes.com\/wpmarch2025\/?p=3210"},"modified":"2021-04-11T21:53:36","modified_gmt":"2021-04-11T13:53:36","slug":"emco-in-eight-localities-in-tawau-from-monday-ismail-sabri","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jesseltontimes.com\/wpmarch2025\/2021\/04\/11\/emco-in-eight-localities-in-tawau-from-monday-ismail-sabri\/","title":{"rendered":"EMCO in eight localities in Tawau from Monday &#8211; Ismail Sabri"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>KUALA LUMPUR: Eight localities in Tawau, Sabah will come under the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) starting tomorrow until April 25 following the spread of COVID-19 with\u00a0high infectivity rates.<br \/>\nSenior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the localities involved were\u00a0Taman Sri Bukit Tawau, Taman Cahaya, Jalan Tengku Osman, Tawau Fire and Rescue\u00a0Department staff\u00a0quarters,\u00a0Bandar Sri Indah, Jalan Mesra, Kampung Titingan and\u00a0Taman Golden Hill.<br \/>\nHe said cumulatively, 76 COVID-19 cases and 220 close contacts have been traced in the localities to date.<br \/>\nThe implementation of the EMCO is to control residents\u2019 movement so as to curb the coronavirus transmission to outside communities,\u201d he said in a statement on the development of Conditional MCO and Recovery MCO today.<br \/>\nMeanwhile, Ismail Sabri said a total of 208 individuals were arrested for flouting the standard operating procedures\u00a0yesterday, of which 199 individuals were compounded while nine others remanded.<\/p>\n<p>He said entertainment centre activities were the highest recorded offences involving 112 people, followed by failure to provide equipment to record customers\u2019 details (27), not wearing face masks (16) and others (53).<br \/>\nThrough Op Benteng yesterday, Ismail Sabri said nine illegal immigrants were detained,\u00a0seven were deported and three land vehicles were seized.<br \/>\nA total of 256 roadblocks were also mounted nationwide yesterday.<br \/>\nOver the past 24 hours, he said 807\u00a0individuals arrived at the country\u2019s international entry points and have been sent to undergo quarantine at quarantine stations across the country.<br \/>\nCumulatively, 170,888 individuals have returned from abroad since July\u00a024, 2020, and placed in 79\u00a0hotels and eight public\u00a0training institutes and private higher learning institutions\u00a0across the country.<br \/>\n\u201cOf the total, 7,868 individuals are undergoing quarantine, 161,681 allowed to\u00a0return home and 1,339 sent to hospitals,\u201d he said.<br \/>\n&#8212; BERNAMA<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KUALA LUMPUR: Eight localities in Tawau, Sabah will come under the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) starting tomorrow until April 25 following the spread of COVID-19 with\u00a0high infectivity rates.
