{"id":31436,"date":"2024-10-05T19:23:34","date_gmt":"2024-10-05T11:23:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jesseltontimes.com\/wpmarch2025\/?p=31436"},"modified":"2024-10-05T20:02:28","modified_gmt":"2024-10-05T12:02:28","slug":"bn-blows-the-trumpet-to-signify-the-start-of-the-sailang-battle-ahead-of-the-crucial-prn","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jesseltontimes.com\/wpmarch2025\/2024\/10\/05\/bn-blows-the-trumpet-to-signify-the-start-of-the-sailang-battle-ahead-of-the-crucial-prn\/","title":{"rendered":"Sabah BN blows the trumpet to signify the start of the &#8220;Sailang battle&#8221; ahead of the crucial PRN"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>TENOM: Sabah Barisan Nasional (BN), energised by their decisive win in the recent Mahkota by-election, today blew the trumpet to mark the commencement of the &#8220;Sailang campaign&#8221; as the crucial state election (PRN) approaches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In what is considered a moral booster, Sabah BN chairman Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin launched the People&#8217;s Networking Election Machinery (JR) for Tenom, marking the first JR in Sabah ahead of the 17th State Election.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This launch signals the need to get ready for the election, which is approaching quickly, and the JR will be implemented in all parliamentary areas across the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bung hopes that the JR, along with the support of the UMNO\/BN Youth Movement and Puteri UMNO in each constituency, will strengthen the program as a key platform for the party in the upcoming general election.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He highlighted the crucial role of each JR member, as they know the voters&#8217; backgrounds in their areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;They must also stay informed about current issues and communicate them to the voters they represent,&#8221; he said in his speech during the launch of the JR here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also present at the event were Sabah BN Secretary Datuk Jafry Arifin, Sabah BN Treasurer Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak, Tenom Umno Division Chief Datuk Raimee Unggi, Sabah Umno\/BN Women Chief Senator Datuk Noraini Idiris, and Tenom Umno\/BN Women Chief Datuk Rahmahjan Sulaiman Khan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In response to Tenom Umno Women\u2019s request to nominate three or four female candidates for the 17th State Election, including in Kemabong, Bung said he would not make any promises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, he mentioned that if there are female candidates with majority support and a good chance of winning, more could be considered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;UMNO\/BN will not impose candidates on the people but will select those whom the community prefers and believes can win,&#8221; he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bung, who leads Sabah Umno, reminded the party members that regardless of who is chosen as the BN candidate for the upcoming election, teamwork is essential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He pointed out that without strong collaboration among leaders and party members, along with avoiding any internal conflicts, it would be challenging for BN to succeed in the upcoming election.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;If we (BN) want to win, we must work together and act like winners.
