KOTA KINABALU: Usukan assemblyman Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak, has proposed that the government takes steps to enhance transparency in the e-Kasih programme, including publicly showcasing the e-Kasih name list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said this measure would ensure that deserving citizens receive the necessary e-Kasih assistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Salleh emphasised the importance of regularly updating the e-Kasih list to guarantee that the services reach all eligible individuals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“The updating process is crucial in enabling the government to assess the transparency and integrity of the village population,” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Salleh said this when debating the government’s 2024 policy at the Sabah State Legislative Assembly Meeting, here today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Salleh stressed the need to ensure that only those who genuinely require assistance are listed as e-Kasih recipients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Additionally, he highlighted the importance of creating more individuals with middle incomes within the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to Salleh, the middle-income group plays a vital role in stimulating the state’s economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He also suggested that the state government intensify the construction of affordable housing projects as well as provide the necessary resources for the success of the 1Community 1Product program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The former Sabah chief minister emphasised that this initiative would contribute to the economic growth of the population, particularly in the long term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Furthermore, Salleh expressed his hope that the Federal government would provide Sabah with autonomy in healthcare and education administration, mirroring the arrangement in the neighboring state of Sarawak.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
