TUARAN: The Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji Noor, is confident that Sabah can become one of the top states in the country within five years from now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“What is important is planning to help and improve the socio-economic status of the people,” he said at an iftar event with the residents of Mukim Tambalang at the As-Sajdin Mosque here on Sunday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hajiji, who is also the Sulaman assemblyman, wants Tuaran to become the best model of unity and fully support the current state government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“I want Tuaran to be the best example of providing solid support to the current state government,” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He reiterated the call for the people not to be deceived by fake news and opposition slander that belittles the state government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During Ramadan, the Chief Minister said his schedule is tight, but he will make time to meet with the people and break fast together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Tomorrow (Monday), I will go to Pulau Pinang to break fast with 1,400 students sponsored by the Sabah Foundation,” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hajiji also urged the public to take the opportunity to strengthen relationships and foster goodwill throughout this noble month of Ramadan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Let us not forget about those who are less fortunate as well,” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the event, Hajiji presented contributions to 728 recipients from 21 villages in Mukim Tambalang.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
