KINABATANGAN: The body of a man who was attacked by a crocodile while fishing in the river near Limddale Farm, Paris 2, here, has been discovered in an incomplete state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department’s Operations Center in Sabah released a statement confirming that the body of Roberto Martinus, a foreign national, was found by the rescue team on Thursday afternoon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The victim’s body was found inside the crocodile’s mouth, and the police had to fire 12 shots to free him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Unfortunately, only the left leg of the victim was intact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The victim’s family members were responsible for identifying him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The police have taken custody of the body for further investigation, and the operation concluded at 6.15 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The incident was reported to the Kinabatangan Fire and Rescue Station early in the morning, prompting a search and rescue operation involving various agencies and the public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
