Armed with determination and high spirits, Mr. Joluin Joiruh has taken steps towards realizing his dream of developing The Joluin Point – a private land area in Kampung Tompinahaton, Kiulu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“I have always hoped that one day my private land in Tompinahaton will be developed for commercial purposes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“And coincidentally, the land is located on the Kiulu-Tamparuli highway and has the potential to be developed as a business area,” Joluin told Jesselton Times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In that regard, Joluin said that for a start, several shop units have been established at The Joluin Point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This includes food stalls, grocery stores, and car wash services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He hopes that the area will progress with the support of customers from the Kiulu district and throughout Sabah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“I am also aware that if others can succeed in the business field, why can’t a native Sabahan stand on equal ground with other races,” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Joluin is a graduate in electrical engineering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He used to work at SESB, formerly known as the Sabah Electricity Board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After that, Joluin served as the Chief Engineer at several five-star hotels, including Hotel Rasa Ria Tuaran, and later gained experience at the Grand Dorsett Hotel Labuan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
