According to Usukan assemblyman Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak, the foundation of civilization should begin within the confines of one’s home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He emphasised the significance of the family unit as a fundamental component in shaping society and ultimately constructing a civilised country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dr. Salleh expressed these views during the inauguration of the Civil Parenting Talk Programme 2024 at SK Suang Punggor, near
here recently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He highlighted the timeliness of organising such a programme and called for support from all parties involved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The former Sabah chief minister stressed that the programme serves as a platform to enhance the awareness and sensitivity of parents and guardians regarding the importance of collaborating with teachers at school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“This collaboration is essential in nurturing children who possess noble character, leadership qualities, discipline, and both physical and mental resilience,” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Salleh emphasised the significance of this endeavour in overcoming the ever-evolving challenges in education and in cultivating skilled individuals for the new millennium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
