KOTA KINABALU: Warisan Sabah’s secretary general, Datuk Loretto S. Padua has delivered\u00a0 the pre-signed resignation letter of Sebatik Assemblyman, Hassan A. Gani Pg. Amir to the office of Sabah State Assembly Speaker, Datuk Kadzim Yahya at 12.15pm today.<\/p>\n

In the pre-signed letter which was stamped with the date February 26, 2021, Hassan in his letter wrote that in line with his pledge to be loyal to the party, he was handing over his resignation as a state assemblyman with immediate effect.<\/p>\n

“I understand that by my action, I will not be qualified to become a candidate for the Sabah Legislative Assembly member for five years beginning from the date of this letter,” the letter wrote.<\/p>\n

A copy of the letter shown by Loretto bore the stamp of the Sabah Legislative Assembly’s Speaker’s office dated March 2, 2021 to indicate that it has been received by the office.<\/p>\n
