KOTA BHARU: Three Perikatan Nasional (PN) members of Parliament (MPs) have been selected to\u00a0represent the coalition in talks with Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof on\u00a0allocations for opposition MPs, said PAS deputy president\u00a0Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man.
\nHe said the three MPs were Parliament\u2019s opposition leader\u00a0Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin, Kota Bharu MP\u00a0Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan and Putrajaya MP Datuk Dr Radzi Jidin.
\n\u201cWe have three representatives from the opposition to hold negotiations which are expected to be held in the near future,\u201d\u00a0he told a press conference after presenting aid to asnaf (eligible tithe recipients), here last night.
\nThe Kubang Kerian MP also welcomed\u00a0Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim\u2019s statement that\u00a0he was in principle agreed\u00a0to give an equal allocation to opposition MPs\u00a0as received by the government MPs.
\n\u201cWe hope it can be expedited and I expect there will only be one round of negotiations,\u201d\u00a0he said.
\nMeanwhile, Tuan Ibrahim said\u00a0discussions\u00a0on the allocation\u00a0of\u00a0seats\u00a0for\u00a0elections\u00a0in six\u00a0states\u00a0among\u00a0PN\u00a0component parties are\u00a0going smoothly.
\nIn the meantime, Tuan Ibrahim said he had no\u00a0knowledge of the rumours that the former Ketereh MP Tan Sri Annuar Musa will join PAS.
\n\u201cI don\u2019t have information about it, maybe he discussed it\u00a0directly with the PAS secretary general (Takiyuddin).
\n\u201cWe heard rumours that he wants to join PAS, and if it\u2019s true, we welcome him, not only him but anyone from UMNO who has been suspended or sacked from the party,\u201d\u00a0he said.
