\nKOTA KINABALU:\u00a0United Malaysia, the country\u2019s official Manchester United supporters club, will be holding its 5th annual dinner at the Hakka Hall Grand Ballroom on June 9.<\/p>\n
Back after a four-year hiatus, the event, themed \u201cUnited Unite: Still United\u201d, is expected to draw some 1,000 members.<\/p>\n
The organising chairman Fynn Floyd Wong urged footie fans, particularly those supporting Manchester United, to attend one of the biggest events for a football fan club in the country.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have not been able to organise the annual dinner for the last several years due to the Covid-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n
\u201cHence, we are excited to have been afforded the opportunity to hold this much anticipated celebration,\u201d he said, in a statement.<\/p>\n
He added that various programmes were being planned for the annual dinner including the customary lucky raffles draw event which will see winners getting free trips to watch live games at Manchester United\u2019s home turf Old Trafford.<\/p>\n
