KOTA KINABALU: Seven individuals including six policemen will be charged in the Tawau Magistrate\u2019s Court this evening with\u00a0the murder of a man on Jan 13 in Tawau.
\nSabah Police Commissioner Datuk Idris Abdullah said investigations into\u00a0the case had been\u00a0completed and the investigation paper was\u00a0submitted to Attorney-General\u2019s Chambers\u00a0yesterday\u00a0(Feb\u00a07).
\n\u201cAll suspects will be charged under Section 302 of the Penal Code, read\u00a0together with Section 34 and\u00a0Section 109 of the same law,\u201d\u00a0he said in a statement here today.
\nHe said\u00a0eight policemen and three civilians had been arrested earlier to assist in the investigations into\u00a0the case.
\nOn Jan 31,\u00a0Idris\u00a0was reported as saying that the murder was motivated by jealousy and did not involve security issues in Sabah.\u00a0
\nAccording to him, the wife of the deceased has been charged at the Tawau Magistrate’s Court under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
\nOn Jan 30, Nurima Juli, 33, who is unemployed, was charged with the killing of Nurman Bakaratu, 61, in an oil palm plantation near Jalan Anjur Juara, Jalan Apas, Batu 5, here between 7.30 to 9 pm\u00a0on Jan 13.
