They want the state’s economy to improve… they want to see investments coming into the state as this would result in employment opportunities for them.
“We are all aware of the attempt by several quarters to remove Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji Noor, even questioning his legitimacy as the Chief Minister. It failed and the Chief Minister formed a unity government comprising those political parties which had declared their supports, namely Pakatan Harapan and DAP, and some faithful and principled Umno leaders who had also pledged their commitments to the leadership of the GRS-led government,” he said.
Mositun said that Ongkili’s recent statement that describing the current scenario in Sabah as a “political disturbance by some power-hungry politicians” was apt and that the rakyats are aware of what is happening.
He took to task those who had demanded for Hajiji to step down as the Chief Minister only to change their tune later and claiming to support him.
On a different matter, Mositun expressed regret in Limbahau assemblyman Datuk Juil Nuatim’s claim that important posts at the grassroots level such as the JPKK chairman are still mostly held by a majority of the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) component parties, thus making it difficult for him to carry out his duties.
Juil who is Parti Kesejahteraan Demokratik Masyarakat (KDM) Deputy President claimed that it was difficult for him and Melalap assemblyman Datuk Peter Anthony to carry out their responsibilities to their constituents.
“The UPPM and JKKK in Limbahau is always ready to assist him to develop the constituencies.
