SANDAKAN: Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) P186 Sandakan candidate Lau Chi Keong @ Thomas Lau met with residents of Sim Sim Low Cost Housing on Thursday, the sixth day of his election campaign.<\/p>\n
During the walkabout programme from Lorong A to H, residents and traders took the opportunity to highlight their needs to Lau. <\/p>\n
A former worked was excited to meet Lau who stopped by at his house. Awang Jumaat Salim, 67, was employed as a security guard at Lau\u2019s restaurant near Sandakan Central Market some15 years ago.<\/p>\n
Describing his former employer as a kind hearted person, Awang Jumaat said Lau gave importance to the welfare of all his workers.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am very happy to see him again and I pray for his victory in this election,\u201d Awang Jumaat told reporters covering the programme. <\/p>\n
Elderly resident Chong Ha Hau, 80, said he was excited on learning his old friend Lau was contesting in this general elections.<\/p>\n
He will support Lau and hopes that Lau will become the Sandakan Member of Parliament. <\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Lau revealed that his campaign trail has been smooth so far, adding that, residents responded positively to his presence and wished him the best. <\/p>\n
