I\u2019m confident that GRS will ensure\u00a0that no race is left behind\u00a0because all Sabahans are the same. Let\u2019s develop Sabah together.<br \/>\n\u201cI did not think that I would become the chief minister.\u00a0(But) when the election was called, GRS cooperated with Barisan Nasional (BN)\u2026 and because we were united,\u00a0we won,\u201d he said in his speech when launching the GRS roadshow programme in\u00a0Lahad Datu\u00a0here on Monday.<br \/>\nHajiji also hoped that the leaders of UMNO and BN\u00a0want to continue their cooperation with GRS\u00a0for the benefit of the state and its people.<br \/>\nGRS is comprised of Bersatu Sabah, Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS), Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku (STAR), Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) and United Sabah National Organisation (USNO), which collaborates with BN to govern Sabah.<br \/>\nMeanwhile, the chief minister\u00a0hoped that voters in Lahad Datu\u00a0would support the existing government for a better future.<br \/>\n\u201cUnder my administration,\u00a0Lahad Datu is one of the districts that were given priority to be turned into a developed district on the east coast of Sabah. It has a huge potential, and\u00a0various programmes have been planned for this district,\u201d\u00a0he said.<br \/>\nOn security matters, Hajiji said he has always emphasised the need to enhance security on the east coast of Sabah and even asked the federal government to upgrade security assets in the area.<br \/>\n\u201cWe must pay careful\u00a0attention to this security issue.
