KOTA KINABALU: Lahad Datu Member of Parliament (MP) Datuk Mohamaddin\u00a0Ketapi, who is also\u00a0Segama state assemblyman, today announced that he is joining Parti Bangsa Malaysia (PBM).
\nMohamaddin, who had earlier left\u00a0Parti Warisan (Warisan) and\u00a0Bersatu, said he decided to join PBM because the party promised to champion the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63), as stipulated in the party\u2019s constitution.
\n“Given the country\u2019s unprecedented political situation, I feel that consolidating the people\u2019s power in the two Borneo regions of Sabah and Sarawak can\u00a0resolve the problem of (lack of) political stability,\u201d he told a press conference here.<\/p>\n
Also present at the press conference were PBM president Larry Sng, who is\u00a0Julau MP, and\u00a0Parti Kuasa Rakyat pro tem president Kamarazaman Yaakob.
\nOn Oct\u00a029,\u00a02021,\u00a0Mohamaddin announced his exit from Warisan to become an independent elected representative, before subsequently joining\u00a0Bersatu on Nov\u00a026,\u00a02021 and quitting the party on June 28 this year.
\nMeanwhile, Kamarazaman said Parti Kuasa Rakyat would enter into\u00a0strategic cooperation with PBM and together support the leadership of Prime Minister\u00a0Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
