KOTA KINABALU: Australia’s Foreign Affairs Minister Penny Wong, who is currently on a working visit to Malaysia,\u00a0 travelled to Sabah this evening.<\/p>\n
The Sabah-born Wong, who spent her early years in Kota Kinabalu before moving to Australia, later attended a cocktail reception on the occasion of her visit to Sabah.<\/p>\n
State dignitories, including former Sabah Chief Ministers – Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak, Datuk Yong Teck Lee and several state ministers
\nwere present at the reception.<\/p>\n
Her father Francis Wong who is an architect by profession was a Councilor of KK Municipal Council during Salleh’s tenure as Sabah Chief Minister.<\/p>\n
Earlier,\u00a0 Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Abdullah and Wong had a bilateral meeting in Kuala Lumpur that covered a wide range of topics concerning both countries as well as current regional and global issues.
