PALONG (Negri Sembilan): Felda settlers will always enjoy various benefits when they elect a Government and representatives who can champion their cause, said Sabah Barisan Nasional (BN) Chairman Datuk Seri Panglima Bung Moktar Radin.
He explains that this is evidenced by the various initiatives launched every year to improve the standard of living of the Felda settlers since Barisan Nasional led the federal government, and this mission is continued by the unity government.
Therefore, Bung stressed that the Felda settlers need a government that defends their destiny and that the government must also pay attention to the future and the wishes of the Felda people, as is being done by the current Unity Government.
“This is actually a three-way relationship between the settlers, Felda, and the government, which must go hand in hand because the people have great potential and must be fought for,” he said when we met after attending a lecture programme at the Felda Voting District Centre of Palong 2 Jeram Padang Jelabu near here yesterday.
Also present were Labuan UMNO chief, who is also UMNO Supreme Council Member Datuk Mohd Rafi Datuk Ali Hassan, and UMNO Supreme Council Member Datuk Lokman Adam.
According to Bung, who is also an UMNO Supreme Council member, the Felda community should feel grateful because what the Government has fought for before they have enjoyed, including various basic facilities such as better water supply, fire, and roads to ensure the well-being of the people who live in Felda areas in the country.
Bung added that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim had recently announced several initiatives and incentives aimed at improving the quality of life and preserving the welfare of Felda citizens.
The incentives include aspects of infrastructure provision, healthcare, digitization, and housing.
