Chief of this newly minted F&B Division, Datuk Garry Chua said this was in line with F@B Division’s vision to make it more professional especially in facing numerous challenges ahead.

“I believe it’s time for the F@B Division to be set up as a platform to voice out the plights of the F@B industry players,” he said in a special interview with the BFM Radio.

Garry said the F@B Division of MRCA, was among others, aimed at championing the much-needed change for F&B players nationwide.

In this respect, he hoped the government would give more subsidy to the F@B players, particularly those who were adversely affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

“Our problem now is rental. Many retail outlets have closed down their business because of the MCO.

“Apart from that, many retailers are struggling to survive and we hope the government will provide funding to help them survive in this trying time,” he said.

Garry also urged the government to expedite the vaccination process for retailers.
